The more refined version, still needs some additional objects to frame the picture off better, also maybe in the background a larger more distant structure to really push the perception of space.

I'm pretty happy with the current color palette, it took a lot of constant tweaking of separate sections to give it a balance I was happy with.

A basic color palette to section off areas while still keeping it pretty simplified.

I orginally wanted to go for a night time look, but when putting over the layers to do so I found the characters

got lost in the background, so I went for more a more lighter approach.

The line work in the background have been given lighter tones to further enhance the distance, while I kept the characters line work the darkest to keep focus on them, even when put into such complicated scenery.
